"Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul.
Dream deep, for every dream precedes a goal." This quote by poet Pamela Vaull Starr shares great insight into the magic of believing in ourselves and our dreams.
Do you really believe that "stars lie hidden in your soul"? You might think of these stars as seeds of potential - but they cannot bloom into magnificence if you remain content to leave them in a dormant state.
The second part of the quote is especially illuminating because it reminds us that our dreams cannot be about "surface stuff" - they must be deep and meaningful to us. They must get our heart racing, mind reeling and our creative juices flowing. Otherwise they are just nice ideas - but not motivating enough for us to take action on them.
Clarity and Purpose
Purpose is the fuel that powers most of the things we do in life, but sometimes we conceive a purpose without conscious awareness of it.
For example, we might set a goal to earn a certain amount of income, but if we don't have a clear idea of why we want this amount of money and what we plan to do with it, we often won't be able to conjure the passion (or fuel) to propel us to success.
With every goal we should first ask ourselves, "Why is this important to me? What will achieving this goal contribute to my life? What am I willing to do to accomplish it?"
The answers to these questions will always make it clear whether our goal is important enough - whether it serves a useful purpose in the big picture - or if we need to reflect a bit more on what we really want.
Contributing Your Own Unique Gifts
The "golden rule" in life is to do unto others as you would have done unto you. That means much more than treating people kindly - it's really about the contribution you make to the world, and the corresponding compensation that the universe returns back to you.
A good shortcut to true wealth is to figure out a way to make a meaningful contribution to as many people as you can. What do you have to offer the world? What makes you unique? What talents or gifts can you use to create something of value that would help others?
When the answers to these questions have come clear in your mind, you have an obvious path to wealth and abundance in all forms.
